Google Nexus S and Nexus One get boost with Android 2.3.3 Update; Now Available

Google released new update Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread for Google Nexus S and Nexus One. Since the first version of Gingerbread was released Owners of Google nexus S has been waiting for an Update for more than 3 months.

Anyway the this Update is really sweet for Google nexus One owners as well as Google Nexus S, there are many exciting features with this new update that includes on-screen keyboard, one-touch word selection with copy/paste functionality, and optimized power management system ensuring enduring battery life.

The update will also feature more NFC Capabilities for Nexus S such as new API support for developers with a full utilization of NFC chip and writing rewritable NFC tags. One specific change, brought with the Nexus S update, has to deal with the Facebook app and the way it handles Facebook contacts.

Now and then Facebook contacts can never be integrated with Android Contacts App and all previous integrated contacts will be erased since Facebook doesn’t support the Android contacts API to store contacts on the handset. Google is against that and as a result the Nexus S and future “lead devices” won’t be able to sync Facebook contacts.

This is the first taste of Gingerbread for Google Nexus One, according to Google it will take couple of weeks to knock Nexus One, so be patient and keep an eye on your Smartphone.
