Barnes & Noble’s Nook Color eReader to get a Software update in April; expected to bring Flash, Email and App Store

Barnes & Noble’s Nook Color e-Reader will to get Software update in April that will bring advanced features like Flash Playback support with Email and an App Store features as announced by its manufacturers.

According to HSN, the update will keep the eReader close to full-featured Android tablet, and will feature a Web browser (with Adobe Flash support) and an e-mail client. Barnes & Nobles is also expected to introduce its own Store like Amazon Appstore for Android for Nook Color eReader via this Software Update. According to reports, at first there will be 8 Apps and More will come to the store after April update.

HSN’s listing also indicates that owners of Nook Color who bought it from HSN will be first getting the update enabling the extra features, saying the new updates will be sent out automatically if the device in connected to Wi-Fi.

Now HSN has put a eReader on the listing wit a price tag of $311, barness & Nobles ahs already brought interesting feature like WiFi connectivity and capability to pinch to Zoom to Nook Color eReader in January 2011.
