HTC Evo Shift 4G gets comprehensive HDMI support with FullHDMI App
HTC Evo shift 4G is one of the first phones to feature an HDMI port yet the device could only play YouTube videos on your big screen and seems to be useless without a full HDMI support.
So here is a FullHDMI that let’s you enjoy what the name suggests, early there was workaround that require custom kernal installations, but FullHDMI make it simple, working wit AOSP and Sense-based kernal alike althouh you to root, of course.
One caveat to keep in mind is that sound will only be broadcast through your TV if you are running an HTC Sense based ROM. Those running AOSP ROMs (like CM7) will only get sound through their phones. For that reason, this may be one of the few times I would advise EVO users to consider using Sense over CyanogenMod. you will need an El Cheapo HDMI-to-micro-HDMI converter ($3-$5 on Amazon).
Add this to the $2.99 price of the FullHDMI app, and you can be watching HD 720p movies, play Android games, and overall mirror the phone’s display on your big screen TV for under ten bucks.
