In-App purchasing goes live on Android Market

In-App billing is finally live in the Android Market, Google launched the developer testing phase for the long-promised featured that would allow Android app developers to offer microtransactions via a storefront built directly into their creations and certain games will allow you to make a credit-card purchase to upgrade without having to head back to the Android Market, right while you have the game open on your phone.

Developers can also start building the feature into their current or new apps. Right now, games like Tap, Tap Revenge, Comics, Gun Bros, Deer Hunter Challenge HD, WSOP:3 and Dungeon Defenders: FW Deluxe will accept your credit card for an in-app purchase.

In-App purchase system is expected to improve the sales of Application, the easier the transaction, the better the chance that a buyer will make a purchase.

Android Developer Ecosystem guy Eric Chu confirmed the news in a brief post on the Android Developer’s Blog. “Today, we’re pleased to announce the launch of Android Market In-app Billing to developers and users,” he writes. “As an Android developer, you will now be able to publish apps that use In-app Billing and your users can make purchases from within your apps.”
