Intel reportedly working on Android based 6-8 x86 devices in April

According to new reports Intel is prepping to launch number of x86-based Android devices, the company is reportedly working with 6-8 notebook manufacturers – including Inventec and Compal. report also says that the Company may unveil new Android devices at IDF Beijing.

Intel has been working with Nokia on MeeGo-based devices but the company is not ready to stop their business platform just on MeeGo and Processors. Like with MeeGo, Android’s absence of licensing fees makes it a popular platform for system developers looking to minimize production costs.

At the same time Intel is also expected to be working with Google on Chrome OS based Laptops, yesterday there was news that the even last Cr-48 laptop was also shipped at least for now Google has been pushing out the Cr-48 devices based on Intel Atom CPU, more devices including Samsung and Acer running on Chrome OS are expected in this summer anyway.
