Lenovo’s New LePad Tablet to be released in September or October

According to Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing, the company’s second-generation LePad tablet will  be released in September or October 2011. CEO didn’t mention any features and exact release date of the upcoming Tablet.

But with recent trends, it’s expected that the device will be running on none other than Google’s Android. The CEO revealed that the new version will be slimmer than current one out there and the new model had been developed in parallel with the existing LePad, with a different team taking responsibility for its design.

The CEO also suggested that Lenovo’s two advantages in China were brand recognition and pricing, which suggests the second-gen model will also undercut the iPad 2.
