Sony’s high-profile lawsuit against 21-year-old George Hotz, revered in the gaming community under his hacker name “Geohot,” has turned him into something of a martyr for the First Amendment—at least according to many people on Twitter.

This week Hotz announced on his blog that he has raised enough money through donations to cover his legal fees after being sued by Sony in January, when it published a code of jailbreak for the PlayStation 3 from Sony. Read the backstory here.
