Sony PS3 Teen Hacker Law Suit Still Buzzing on Twitter
Sony’s high-profile lawsuit against 21-year-old George Hotz, revered in the gaming community under his hacker name “Geohot,” has turned him into something of a martyr for the First Amendment—at least according to many people on Twitter.
This week Hotz announced on his blog that he has raised enough money through donations to cover his legal fees after being sued by Sony in January, when it published a code of jailbreak for the PlayStation 3 from Sony. Read the backstory here.
Sony has been silent on the matter, but Hotz has used his blog and other media characterized himself as a consumer of innocents who had the right to drain your own device. You can read his defense throughout Geohot.com.
Naturally, the Twitterverse weighed in. Click through the slideshow below some of the most interesting tweets this week about the case of Sony v. Geohot proxy.
