Sprint Dual-Touchscreen Kyocera Echo Smartphone release date and pricing confirmed; coming in April 17

Finally one of most anticipated dual touch-screen Android Smartphone from Sprint is confirmed to be released on April 17, Sprint confirmed the availabilty of Kyocera Echo Smartphone today. Sprint informed that on April 17 the Smartphone will be available in all Sprint retail channels as well as online and Telesales.

You can get the Smartphone reserved beginning March 26 on www.sprint.com/echo, the device will be sold for $199.99 with new two year srvice agreement or eligible for an upgrade. The price is after excluding taxes.

Kyocera Echo  powered with 1GHz Snapdragon processor and running on Android 2.2 Froyo features two 3.5 480 x 800 WVGA  touch-screen  which can be unfolded and used as a single 4.7-inch 960 x 800 surface, 5-megapixel camera with flash, autofocus and digital zoom, 720p HD camcorder to quickly capture those on-the-go memorable moments, Corporate (Exchange ActiveSync®) and personal (POP & IMAP) e-mail, IM (Google Talk), text messaging, Full HTML Web browser with Google Search. The smartphone comes with 1 GB of onboard memory and an 8GB microSD card for the external memory card slot, which supports cards up to 32GB.

The phone has access to more than 150000 Apps in the Android Market but the phone is running on Android 2.2 Froyo not Gingerbread but ca expect an upgrade to Android 2.3.
