28nm AMD Wichita APU production started

In the retail trade in May and June is expected to reach the first accelerator computing from AMD series Llano. However, according to the site SemiAccurate, global chip maker (second largest) reported the production of the next generation APU, whose code name Wichita. Novelty should be replaced in the market for existing modeliS-30 and C-50 belonging to the line of Ontario.

About APU Wichita yet known very little. It became known that the chips will be created at a rate of 28 nm technology, which will greatly reduce power consumption compared to 40 nm chips. Expected to use in the chips of one or two cores Bobcat, as well as integrated graphics performance that should be on level with the IGP in the APU Zacate.

Chips are expected to appear in a series of Krishna, and the term debut no earlier than the fourth quarter of this year. Release of the same chip are likely to be timed to coincide with CES 2012.
