AT&T announces LG Thrive Smartphone for GoPhone with LG Phoenix; releasing on April 7
AT&T has announced LG Thrive and LG Phoenix for its pre-paid and post-paid plans, LG Thrive is the very first Android Smartphone to be part of GoPhone pre-paid service from AT&T. with this announcement GoPhone customers can choose from new data packages with no long-term commitment required.
Data packages for the Thrive will cost at $25 for 500 MB, with each additional 10MB costing $5, an improvement from the original $4.00 per megabyte plan. Users can also get a slimmer $15 per 100MB plan, which has been cut $4. The LG Thrive is priced at $179.99 and will be released on April 17. LG Phoenix is coming as post-paid version of LG Thrive.
Both feature 600MHz processor, a 3.2 inch color full-touch display, Android™ 2.2 platform, Exchange email support, unlimited Wi-Fi usage on the entire national AT&T Wi-Fi Hot Spot network, microSD card slot, a 3.2-megapixel camera and 1500 mAh long-life battery.
Other features include stereo bluetooth support, HSDPA 3G, GPS, and both are world capable thru Quad-band GSM / Tri-band 3G.
The LG Phoenix™ will be released on the same day in dark blue for $49.99 and requires a two-year agreement and Both smartphones will be available for purchase nationwide at AT&T company-owned retail stores and in select national retail locations.
