Dell Inspiron M101z Ultraportable Notebook now on sale for $600
Dell Inspiron M102z is a very light, very functional ultraportable. This is mainly due to the AMD Fusion E-350 (1.6GHz) processor that comes with the AMD Radeon HD 6310. Skip the boring details, which provides low-end graphics rendering that would normally require a dedicated graphics card. Suffice it to say that the M102z is great value for those who like the portability, but are not interested in netbooks.
What makes the versatility possible in a small overall package is the AMD Fusion E-350 (1.6GHz) processor. Can handle low-end productivity applications with ease, thanks to the AMD Radeon HD 6310 integrated graphics card can also handle graphically demanding tasks, such as streaming HD movie on a bigger screen. The 4 GB of RAM is definitely a health number for a laptop that weighs 1.56kg, so multitasking is a breeze.
The low weight is supported on a frame light enough, the M102z is 35 mm thick, 205 mm deep and 292 mm wide. No optical drive, a necessity, since the screen is only 11.6in limiting the availability of interior space. It has high resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels, so it will work fine with videos and productivity applications.
While there are many improvements that are offered, all focused on software and additional hardware is mostly unnecessary for the full use of the M102z. By all means used to fill the gaps in its own software and hardware available, but otherwise stick with only notepad. This Dell Inspiron M102z will cost you $699.
