HTC Flyer Tablet confirmed to get Android Honeycomb Update shortly after the release
Only Caveat that HTC Flyer Tablet bear is that It is running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread rather than Honeycomb, but now it seems that HTC Flyer is going to get Honeycomb. According to a new Tweet from HTC, the HTC Flyer Tablet would get Android 3.0 Honeycomb shortly after the Launch.
HTC Flyer currently running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and HTC Sense UI, features a 7-inch unit with 1024 x 600 resolution, a 5MP rear and a 1.3MP front. The Flyer has 16GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot for expansion, a single core Qualcomm processor clocked at 1.5GHz and a 4000mAh battery.
Recently there was a report that HTC Evo View 4G a US Version of HTC Flyer would be getting Honeycomb right out of the Box. now it seems that this report could be true since the Tablet hasn’t released in Europe yet. BestBuy was supposed to start the pre-order for the HTC Flyer Tablet on April 24th but the pre-order page for the Device hasn’t been appeared online yet, hopes it will go live today.
The Tablet will be priced at $499 when it is available for pre-order at Best Buy, what keeps this tablet out of the crowd is HTC Scribe technology that allows you to write on the display with special Pen.
