HTC Sensation Android Smartphone unveiled; to be available from Various Carriers including T-Mobile USA
HTC Finally unveiled its flagship Smartphone HTC Sensation at its London event, the phone was in rumor as HTC Pyramid for a last few months. the device will be available globally May/June 2011 onwards from major carriers and retailers that includes Vodafone as lead European carrier, T-Mobile USA (as the HTC Sensation 4G with, as the name suggests, HSPA+ connectivity) in the US, and on various Asian carriers (tbc).
HTC Sensation is powered with 1.2GHz Qualcomm MSM 8260 processor, 768MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM and running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with latest HTC’s own Sense UI version 3.0 on top that allows you to launch apps straight from the lock screen, among many other improvements. The Smartphone also features 4.3-inch touchscreen only running at qHD 540 x 960 resolution, 8MP camera with dual LED flash, VGA front-facing camera for video calls above the display, a microSD card slot and a slick unibody aluminum chassis.
For Connectivity the Smartphone also supports HSPA/WCDMA, quadband GSM, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, a 3.5mm headphone socket and a microUSB port with MHL support for HDMI output (using a special dongle). and other features include GPS/AGPS, a gyro, G-sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor.
HTC Sensation measures at 126.1 x 65.4 x 11.3 mm and weighs 148g with the standard 1,520 mAh battery. This chipset will allow you to record Full HD 1080p video with the smooth 30fps, just like the other dual-core phones out there. A Video Trimmer app will allow for minor edits before sharing.
At this time the price and release date are not confirmed by the Company, it’s expected to launch as I said above, in June/May 2011. check out the complete specs and Hands-on video below and comment on the device.
