iPhone 5 is expected to host 8MP Camera from Sony

Sir Howard Stringer (Sony’s CEO) happens to reveal the very exciting info related to iPhone 5, During an interview with the Wall Street Journal. CEO mentioned about Camera camera specs of the new iPhone. Yet Sony is not know for supplying Camera Sensors to Apple Products so It sure that CEO was talking about the Camera Sensors of next iPhone that is surely iPhone 5.

CEO was talking about How the massive earth quake and Tsunami affected the Company, Sir Howard Stringer (Sony’s CEO), mentioned that the tsunami would delay the shipment of Sony’s best camera sensors to Apple. He said, “Our best sensor technology is built in one of the affected factories. Those go to Apple for their iPhones… or iPads. Isn’t that something? They buy our best sensors from us?”

Back in February there was a report that Apple was soon going to make a switch to using Sony’s sensors. Currently OmniVision is the supplier of CMOS to Apple.

Anyway, Apple has to officially confirm the Specs of upcoming Apple iPhone 5, but we can now at least expect a 8MP Camera on iPhone 5.
