Peugeot unveils Peugeot SxC Crossover Concept Ahead of Shanghai Auto Show

China is the one of the leading market for high tech cars nowadays, ahead of Shanghai Auto Show 2011, The French automaker Peugeot revealed its new SXC  hybrid crossover concept. The concept was designedin Shanghai as well, at Peugeot’s local design studio.

The new Car will be debutted at Shanghai Auto Show next week,Drivetrain comes courtesy of Peugeot’s HYbrid4 system, mating a 218-horsepower 1.6-liter turbodiesel four driving the front wheels to a 95hp electric motor at the back for through-the-road all-wheel-drive and a combined output of 313hp. Naturally, you can drive it as an all-wheel-drive model, or either the engine or motor separately. Combined, it offers 48.7mpg and emits 143g/km of CO2.

It has a reverse-hinged doors too, coupled to 22in wheels and interior components made from brushed aluminium. And It’s lower, longer and wider than a BMW X5.

The concept is joined at the Shanghai expo by the 508 sedan that will now be manufactured locally for the Chinese market.
