Renault and Hertz to launch EV Car Rent Service in Europe

This program consists of renting cars for short periods of time using the new range of Renault electric vehicles in its stores across Europe. Thus, Hertz will become one of the first renters in offering the Twizy and Fluence ZE, Kangoo ZE and ZOE.

This agreement concerning electric vehicles has been signed under the Geneva Motor Show. Under this agreement, the car hire company confirms its willingness to offer their customers seamless mobility solutions to CO2 emissions, increasing its European fleet with five hundred vehicles of the Renault ZE This agreement will form part of the implementation of the continental Hertz Global program for electric vehicles, Hertz Global Electric Vehicle , launched in December 2010.

According to Mark Frissora, chairman CEO of Hertz Corportation, “Hertz is committed to implement its program, Hertz Global Electric Vehicle in the world. The agreement with Renault will be an essential component of our deployment in Europe.
