A few weeks ag there was a report that Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for Samsung Galaxy S would be released in couple of weeks, as expected now it seems that Korean company Samsung has started to roll out the Most anticipated update for some part of the Europe. And according to report the users of the Samsung Galaxy S has bee able to download and successfully update their Android Smartphone. The firmware number is XWJVB, and has a build date of April 8th.
Galaxy S owners need to use Samsung’s KIES software to update the firmware of their handset. It’s a limited rollout, benefiting the Nordic countries, Holland and Germany first, but we doubt Samsung will hold out on the rest of Europe for much longer. Anyway the update is not intended for US and if you are in luck just turn on your KIES and try to get it updated to Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
