Walmart Samsung Infuse 4G Release Date in May; priced as $180

Since the announcement of the Samsung Infuse 4G it’s kind of been overshadowed by other devices that beat it to market, that’s not to say interest is gone but the noise of the device has diminished a little for sure. Now it looks like the AT&T smartphone will land at Walmart next month for $178.88.

After passing FCC on its way to AT&T last month, the Infuse 4G will be available at Walmart to join the 4G line-up of AT&T — along with the Motorola Atrix 4G and the HTC Inspire 4G — for devices capable of higher speeds on the network currently lacking the advertised speed.

Rumor has it that the retail giant has been sending around circulars indicating that the Infuse and its 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display will hit shelves sometime next month. The notices also mention that the device will be sold for $178.88, which would likely be bundled with a two-year AT&T contract.

The Infuse 4G will feature a 1.2GHz Hummingbird CPU along with a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, eight-megapixel rear camera coupled with a 1.3-megapixel front-facing webcam.
