Amazon Quad-Core and Dual-core Tablets to be known as “Hollywood” and “Coyote”?
It seems that Amazon is at final stage of its new Android Powered Tablet, according to several reports there will be two devices named quad-core “Hollywood”, and “entry level Coyote” ones.
The Coyote is expected to be powered with a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, and is already prime for production whereas the Hollywood is expected to feature NVIDIA’s Kal-El quad-core chipset that is coming later this year.
There is a rumor that the Tablet is to be made by Samsung for Amazon and the Kal-El chipset is slated for Q3 production, and NVIDIA even promised that we’ll see tablets with the quad-core Cortex-A9 silicon in August. The Kal-El is expected to have 12 GPU cores, and be 5x faster than Tegra 2. Anyway take this report with a pinch of salt since the tipster hasn’t provided any proof, let’s wait for more on the Tablets from Amazon and since Amazon has its own Android Market, the Tablet makes more sense.
