AT&T to release Cisco Cius Ultra-Portable Tablet for Business Users in the fall of 2011
Have you heard about Cisco Cius?, it’s an ultra portable Mobile Tablet focusing on Business users that enables access to essential business applications for virtually anywhere, anytime collaboration. Interesting thing is that AT&T has just announced its intention to make the Tablet available on its 4G HSPA+ network in the fall 2011.
The Tablet si specifically designed for Business users and coming with the capability of critical communications, computing, and collaboration capabilities. The capabilities include nteroperable HD video communications, conferencing, presence, instant messaging, and desktop virtualization, among others.
The Tablet powered with Android OS features 7-inch, high-resolution, multi-capacitive touch screen with 1024 x 600, 32 GB internal flash, micro-USB (tablet) and standard USB (HD media station) Ports, Front and rear facing cameras.
For on the go connectivity the tablet features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G/4G and a navigation GPS capability. That Tablet weighs 1.15lbs (0.52kg). The Tablet has full flash support and Multitasking capability.
Shawn Conroy, vice president of voice, collaboration and unified communications services, AT&T Business Solutions said that “We are mobilizing the day to day activities of our business and government customers, helping them act quicker for maximum agility and profitability,”.
The Tablet will have access to Android apps apart from Cisco Apps. AT&T and Cisco also mentioned that both companies are collaborating with third party developers to create innovative and intuitive business applications for the Cisco Cius.
According to AT&T the Tablet will be released in the fall of 2011, unfortunately the company didn’t reveal anything about the price of the Tablet. it’s expected to be revealed soon.
