Chrome-OS-based Samsung Series 5 ChromeBook Specs, Price and Release Date officially announced

Today at Google I/O event recently leaked Chrome-OS based Netbook/Laptop from Samsung named Samsung Series 5 Chromebook  has been unveiled. Samsung Chromebook is the second device with Chrome-OS including CR-48 Laptop. Early it was revealed that first Chrome OS based devices would be from Samsung, Acer and Asus.

The Series 5  chromebook powered with Intel Atom Dual-Core N570 processor features 12.1-inch 1280×800-resolution 300 nit display, HD Webcam with noise cancelling microphone, Fullsize Chrome keyboard, 4-in-1 memory card slot, 2 USB 2.0 ports, 8.5 hours of continuous usage on battery.

For connectivity there is optional WiFi and 3G and the device is available in 2 flavors of colors that include white and black, Samsung Series 5 Chromebook is an ultra-thin at 0.79-inch. According to Google the Device will be available from Best Buy and Amazon on June 15th.

It’ll cost $429 for the WiFi version and $499 for worldwide 3G — which includes 100MB of free Verizon data per month, just like the CR-48. The Laptop looks very stunning with a wider track-pad and a flat keyboard. The Laptops corners are curved. Anyway, what do you think about the new Laptop based on Chrome OS?
