It seems that Dell is preparing to release a new ultra portable thinnest laptop, CNET reports according to the source close to Dell, the company will introduce the Laptop in the coming weeks and believed to be inspired by the Dell’s Adamo brand which was discontinued early this year.
It’s expected that Dell’s Slim Laptop would features 15.6 inches and be the thinnest in this class of laptops, latest Intel “Sandy Bridge” Core i5 and Core i7 processors, have a high-resolution display, and be crafted from special materials–all for less than $1,000.
It really makes sense that Dell needs a Slim Laptop to compete with other Slimmest Tablet in the Market out there especially like Apple’s MacBook Air. According to source “This is the first in a series of products where [Dell is] going to focus on ultra-performance and ultrathin,” one source said. “This is not a one-time product. This is a full commitment to a product category that is focused on thin and powerful,”
It’s also expected that future models will come in different sizes. Anyway, these all are rumors and we will have to wait until a official confirmation on the device
