Sony Ericsson releases Android 2.1 Update for AT&T Xperia X10 Smartphone
An Android 2.3 Gingerbread would be the expectation of most users’ of AT&T Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, since the Smartphone was released it might have missed a couple of cycles of software updates. Fortunately or unfortunately Sony Ericsson has manged to release an update for the Smartphone, that’s not even Android 2.2 Froyo but Android 2.1.
On this announcement Sony Ericsson commented“After much hard-work, we are happy to announce that the Android 2.1 upgrade will be available for AT&T XperiaTM X10 customers in the US starting Tuesday, May 31st,”. Sony has announced that starting today the Android 2.1 update will be rolling out of AT&T US users of the X10.
With this update, users will be able to record 720p HD video on the X10. It will support multi-touch and the camera gets continuous auto-focus in still and video capture mode. The phone will also get face detection in video capture mode and the home screens have been increased from three to five.
