Sony Ericsson ST18i(Azusa/Azuza) and CK15i spotted online; Azuza to release this month
Sony Ericsson will start updating the range of smartphones based on Android models XPERIA mini and mini pro. It seems that the next in line to replace – touch phone XPERIA X8. Among the contenders to replace it, Japanese Swedish mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson is expected to put on the market before the end of the year a great range of new devices, and CK15i and ST18i should be among them, it seems.
The company already came to the market with new handsets this year, all of which are powered by Google’s Android OS, yet it seems that more of them should arrive soon. Moreover, rumor has it that the vendor would also aim at launching a new feature phone on the market, and that the just spotted CK15i might be it.
This small touchscreen handset will apparently support a 240×400 pixel display, run on SE’s A200 platform and come complete with a slide-out hardware keyboard. Yet there are no much information about this device. According to one member of Esato forum CK15i will get final model name as Sony Ericsson txt pro.
The ST18i has twin cameras, with the rear getting an LED flash, together with an unspecified ARM Cortex A8 processor. We’re guessing that means a similar 1GHz chip to what’s inside the XPERIA mini. Its CK18i sibling pairs a touchscreen with a slide-out keyboard, like a larger version of the mini pro. From the NenaMark leaked the information on software testing, the mysterious phone called Sony Ericsson Azusa will be equipped with FWVGA resolution touch screen and built-in 1GHz clock speed of the processor. Although it is not clear which specific models of processors, but for the test content displays its GPU (graphics processing chips) for Adreno 205, so the machine will work with Sony Ericsson Xperia Play with the Qualcomm MSM8x55 processor should not much suspense.
Other details on this smartphone are not available at the moment, but there are great chances that it would run under Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform when made available.
As for the other two possible launch Sony Ericsson models are referred to as the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10mini PRO2 SK17i and its sister model ST15i. Among them, former development code-named “mango”, major position was as XPERIA X10mini PRO launched successors. Equipped with a 3-inch HVGA resolution capacitive touch screen and built-in 1GHz GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8650, carrying Android2.3 ginger pie system, built-in 5 million pixel camera has WCDMA/HSDPA network and WLAN wireless local area network, GPS navigation, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, and storage card extension functions.
