Acer Iconia A100 7-inch Honeycomb Tablet gets through FCC; releasing in Second Half of this year

FCC has approved the Acer’s next Android Honeycomb tablet Acer Iconia A100. Unlike other honeycomb tablets available in the market now, the A500 is a 7 incher. Acer has already released its firs Android Honeycomb tablet dubbed Acer Iconia Tab A500 and it’s a 10.1 inch device.

Acer Iconia A100 tablet powered with a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor has a 7-inch display with 1024×600 resolution, 512MB of RAM, a 2-megapixel front camera, a 5-megapixel back camera, 8GB of internal storage, microSD slot for up to 32GB additional memory. The Tablet has WiFi and Bluetooth for connectivity.

As far as we knew the tablet will be running on Android 3.0 Honeycomb  and not 3.1. The tablet was supposed to be released in May but due to the some incompatibility issue with the Honeycomb-specific apps on 7-inch display, the release was delayed. Now it seems that the tablet will only see the light in second half of 2011 unfortunately an exact date is not available yet.
