Archos Gen 9 Tablets on Honeycomb to be revealed in Paris
On 23 June the French manufacturer Archos, will present in Paris its new range of tablet Gen 9, which besides being the ninth generation of touch pads and also his third OS Android.
A range which will consist of several Android 3.0 Honeycomb, according to the latest rumors, a dual-heart and a TI OMAP 4460 PowerVR graphics chip SGX540 that supports video playback in Full HD 1080p.
Note that the Bugdroid shown on the flyer is to hand a bag that is none other than the logo of the Android Market, is therefore likely that it is present on this new range Gen. 9.
And what is the number of shelves and different screen sizes, it was not until June 23.
Otherwise, we have the familiar Android robot, but if you look closely you will see him holding what appears to be an Android Market icon. And for those who may not be as familiar with the previous Android offerings from Archos — they all failed to have Android Market access. Well, technically you can get the Market on your Archos devices and while it is easy enough to do it comes as a third party hack.
It is said that Archos’ third Android slate will run on an 1.6GHz ARM A9 dual-core chip as well as feature an integrated 3G modem, which means it intends you to go online wherever and whenever you feel like it without subjecting yourself to the mercies of a possible Wi-Fi network.
We’re expecting Archos to keep the low prices they have been known for, yet satisfy the larger crowds with more “Google”. The event is on June 23rd at 6:30 pm at the Ritz Hotel in Paris and we’ll be keeping an eye on things. Do you own an Archos device with Android? What would you change about it?
