Archos to release Archos 80 G9 and 101 G9 Honeycomb Tablets; Specs and Price

Just a day after announcement of the cheapest Android tablet, Archos is again here to crack something big for a affordable price today Archos announced its to new tablet dubbed Archos 80 G9 and Archos 101 G9 tablets. what is exciting is that the company this time is coming with something  to challenge other Honeycomb tablet out there.

The Archos 80 G9 running on Android 3.1 Honeycomb features an 8” touchscreen with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, on the other hand the Archos 101 G9 employs a larger 10.1” display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels  with an aspect ratio of ratio of 16:10. Interestingly both tablets are powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core OMAP 4 processor from Texas Instruments, that is expected to throw 50% more raw computation power. Moreover these tablets will also features ability to decode 1080p H264 videos, HDMI output, 250GB HDD from Seagate, and a host of Archos branded multimedia apps.

After all we have to see these highly specked tables in action rather than on paper to compare the device performance, the tablet is surely coming with highly competitive pricing when it compares to the tablets available out there now, albeit by the end of the year we could see more cheapest honeycomb tablet in the market. According to Archos the Archos 80 G9 and Archos 101 G9 tablets are priced excitingly at $279 and $349 respectively and tablet will be released in September.
