HTC Sensation 4G for sale in Walmart, Earlier than actual Release Date

The HTC Sensation 4G isn’t supposed to hit Walmart until June 12th and it won’t be available anywhere else until June 15th but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your hands on one right now. However, some Walmart, T-Mobile and Costco stores have been selling the super sensational dual-core smartphone early.

Walmart shoppers have been able to nab the HTC Sensation 4G smartphones as early as June 8.  It appears that Walmart is also discounting the price to $148.88.  XDA Developer forum members reported buying the HTC Sensation  from Walmarts in Charlotte, NC; New Orleans, Wichita Falls, TX; Kansans City, Denver, CO; Mount Holly Road, East Meadow, NY; and Horsham, PA.  There were reported sales at the T-Mobile store in Florence, SC and  Costco in Chino Hills, CA, on June 9.

Walmart isn’t just selling the phone early either. It looks like some customers have managed to score it for $50 cheaper than the actual listed price of $200. So, $150 on a new two year contract.

HTC’s Sensation 4G is the latest and greatest smartphone on T-Mobile and it’s one of the best devices to hit the carrier in recent memory, maybe even ever. What makes it even better is that HTC has confirmed that it is working on a software update for the phone that will unlock the bootloader. In other words, this is Android heaven, folks.

T-Mobile’s next flagship phone brings a sexy design along with a spec-sheet that’s a force to be reckoned with. Featuring a 4.3 inch qHD display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and 1080p HD video recording capabilities, front-facing camera for video-chat, HSPA+ support, Android 2.3 with Sense 3.0 and much more under its hood. The Sensation 4G can easily go toe to toe with any smartphone today, and likely best it in more than one way. Similar to the upcoming EVO 3D, the Sensation 4G is the handset for customers who don’t need an extra dimension in their phone.

The HTC Sensation 4G has a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540) touchscreen (16:9 aspect ratio), a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, an 8-megapixel camera with 1080 video capture, 1GB of internal storage, microSD slot, 768MB of RAM, a 1520 mAh battery, FM radio, GPS, Wi-Fi, Hi-Fi audio and Bluetooth. For video viewing, it offers DLNA support and a micro-USB port that can be adapted to HDMI. There is a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
