Lenovo to release 2 Honeycomb Tablets and One Windows-based Tablet; Namely IdeaPad and ThinkPad

It seems that Lenovo finally confirmed its intention to release a series of tables in the Market soon, recently there was leak of IdeaPad Honeycomb tablet and now Lenovo is confirmed to bring 3 new tablets including windows-based one.

According to recent leak the IdeaPad K1 is a honeycomb tablet with a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800) touch-screen, 1GB of LPDDR2 memory, 32GB of internal storage (a 16GB model should also be released), a rear-facing 5 megapixel camera, a front-facing 2MP camera, two 0.5W speakers, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, USB and HDMI ports, and a battery allowing for 8 to 10 hours of operation.

The second tablet is also Honeycomb-based but it comes in ThinkPad series of business products and expected to feature Stylus like HTC Flyer tablet. Both tablets will feature a Lenovo specific UI skin but no idea about the look of the skin yet. We will have to wait to see the customization over Honeycomb and Lenovo could be the first with a substantial Honeycomb customization.

The last one is Windows-based tablet, like the ThinkPad series tablet, there is no much info about this tablet either but expected to be available in 7” and 10” models. Anyway, nothing regarding to tablets’ specs have been confirmed by the company yet other than the confirmation there are 3 tablets to come out and two of them are expected to hit the market in this summer. All this premium content may come at a cost though, as the rumored price is between $450 and $900 depending on model.
