Apple reportedly to begin iPhone 5 and iPad 3 Production in August for the Release in October
Next generation iPhone and iPad have been on rumor for a while and now it seems that both are going to enter in production in August for release in October. latest leak revealed some internal AT&T documents claiming the iPad 3 might come this fall with LTE onboard. Meanwhile DigiTimes reports that “upstream component suppliers” are receiving an influx of orders for parts to go into two new Apple devices – the next iPhone and iPad.
The report also indicates that upstream component makers for the devices are in expectation to benefit from the order and these makers include Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry), which is in charge of assembling the devices; Simplo Technologies and Dynapack International Technology, in charge of manufacturing batteries; TPK Holding and Wintek, in charge of touch panel modules; Catcher, in charge of chassis; and Largan Precision, in charge of webcams.
According to recent reports the next iPhone will sport dual-core A5, possibly a larger screen and 8MP camera on board. while main improvement as fas as we know to the next iPad is a screen with larger resolution, it is said to be 250ppi now – 2048×1280 pixels.
The report confirms that Apple will only start the production of one iPhone Model in September for the October launch. while iPad 3 has just recently been added to the production schedule with both set to be produced in small volumes in August. DigiTimes also reports that iPhone 5’s supply volume is estimated to be around 6-7 million units in the third quarter.
When it comes to the reliability, the iPhone 5 seems to be true while an iPad 3 just after 6 months of iPad 2 release is still considered to be with a grain of salt. Anyway, let’s wait a little more for further details on both devices.
