Facebook to announce Skype Video Chat on July 6th?

Facebook has over 750 million active subscribers around the world and recently people are connecting with their family and friends through facebook and chatting facility of the facebook increases the chances for those who need to get connected with their friends and family online at the same time but what if it is accompanied with a video chat facility?. I think it is awesome if the facility is better at all level.

It seems that Facebook is pepping up to introduce worlds leading VoIP service provider Skype on facebook for Video call, sprinkling chilly on the rumor facebook has sent out invites for an event next week, July 6th and more interestingly the invites have chat icons on them. It is said that Mark Zuckerberg would announce the new service from its its seattle team. And while the service will be browser-based, it’s also said to include a desktop component. If the service is integrated to facebook, chances are Skype will gain benefit since Facebook has 750 million users. Skype now has 170 million users. Microsoft has decided to buy the Skype for $8.5 billion and this could be successful decision if the integration succeeds.

Anyway, nothing has been confirmed yet, this rumor is according to an anonymous source interviewed by TechCrunch. Anyway what do you think about the Skype integration with Facebook?
