Panasonic to release e-book Reader/Tablet Hybrid in Japan in next Month
Panasonic has unveiled a new hybrid e-book reader tablet specially designed for Japanese market, Panasonic has tie-up with Rakuten to deliver e-books for the tablet and seems that consumers to have bonus points when purchase e-books from Raketen and which in return can be redeemed while shopping for items on Rakuten’s marketplace.
The e-book reader tablet hybrid powered by a dual-core CPU employees a 7-inch LCD touch screen sporting a 1,024×600 resolution, a camera, a microSDHC slot, and 16 apps pre-installed (a browser, mail client, Adobe reader, etc.) as well as WiFi connectivity. The hybrid tablet is running Android 2.2 Froyo on board.
Panasonic hasn’t revealed anything about pricing or release date but it is expected to hit the market in the next month, may be early in August.
