Samsung Galaxy S II US Release Date confirmed to be in August

It seems that the wait for the most awaited Android Smartphone Samsung Galaxy S II is getting closer to release in the US, Samsung has confirmed that it expects the Galaxy S II Android smartphone to be on sale in the US in August. The Company hasn’t revealed any particular release date or pricing for the Smartphone. Samsung’s head of mobile business, Shin Jong-kyun was revealing the august release at the launch of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in South Korea.

Verizon, AT&T and Sprint are expected to get the phone under different monikers: the Samsung Function for Verizon, theSamsung Attain for AT&T and the Samsung Within for Sprint. The increasing delay between the Galaxy S II’s release in Europe, which took place several months ago, and its US appearance had led to some speculation that North American carriers were dragging their feetwhile faced with a surfeit of Android-powered iPhone rivals.

It seems that Samsung Galaxy S2 US variant will be powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2 Processor instead of Samsung’s 1.2GHz Exynos chipset.  Early there was a report that in some countries Samsung would use tegra 2 chipset for Samsung Galaxy S 2 . Samsung recently revealed that the company has been able to sell over 3 million Galaxy S II in just 55 days and expected to hit 10million soon.

Would be nice to be able to read the article.  But since there is a Consumer Cellular ad over a good portion of the text I’ll read elsewhere.  Oh yeah, I tried in two different browers with the same ad blocking text results.  I would fix this if it were me.  But I realize everyone isn’t me.

Same problem here, can’t read the article, so I had to highlight the text and paste it into another program.
