Windows Phone Mango Social Network Integration and People Hub Demoed on Video
Microsoft is boosting its new Windows Phone 7 Mango with many new features and day by day we can see demonstration of at least one new feature online, today we have two new features demoed by Microsoft that include Social Network Integration and People Hub. Here in the demo for the Social networking integration is performed by Stuart Bottom himself, Program Manager at the Communications Group on Windows Phone while the people Hub is explained by Microsoft’s People Hub Project Manager Greg.
According to the video, Twitter and LinkedIn are going to be a seamless part of Windows Phone along with Facebook and Windows Live, now you might be thinking of bunch of notification from each sites if you signed in simultaneously, but don’t worry there is notification filter so you can see all the notification from different social networking at one place. Another feature is users will be notified upon events such as their mentioning in a Tweet or whenever there is some activity on their Facebook wall.
Second one is the people hub and the main feature of the people hub is in new contact live tile features, and in contact histories. The idea behind both of the main People Hub features is the same as many in Windows Phone: to get you in, out, and away from your phone. all you have to do is click on a contact to see a list of all recent communications by that contact, regardless of what medium they came from. Simply tap on that entry, and you will be transported to that app and conversation. other main change is the contact history, which aggregates messages from all different services into one history for each contact. So, theoretically regardless of where the message came from, it should make it easier to find when it’s all in one place. Anyway, check out the Videos to see the new features in action and feel free to comment.
