2012 Opel Insignia revealed with Specs
Opel has decided to upgrade its Insignia model for 2012, the new model will make its first public appearance in Frankfurt Motor Show. The change comes to its power house as well as things in exterior. Upgrades that include the broader availability of the 1.4-liter and 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engines. Exterior upgrades have been kept to an absolute minimum, with new alloy wheel designs and a new paint colour expected to be the only changes to the 2012 Insignia line-up.
The 1.4 ecoFLEX model is likely to be reserved for European markets, while the 2012 Insignia 2.0 Turbo 4×4 model may beheading to Australia.
The 250HP (184kW) 2.0-liter Turbo accelerates the Insignia 4×4 from zero to 100km/h) in 7.5 seconds and on to an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). It consumes 8.9 lt/100 km (26.4mpg US) on average with CO2 emissions of 209g/km. Opel has applied the same efficiency upgrades to the 2012 model year front-wheel drive 162kW 2.0 Turbo model.
Opel Insagnia 2012 model has an SD card-based infotainment system inside and satellite navigation now allows drivers to save points of interest and find the most economical route for their trip. a revised front camera that adds a Following Distance Indication function to the traffic sign recognition and lane departure warning systems, new available leather trims and a new dark metallic lacquer “Luxor” exterior color.
