Acer Iconia Tab A100 7-inch Tablet goes on Sale
Finally one of the most awaited Android Honeycomb tablet from Acer, the Iconia Tab A100 is finally released and now available for purchase in US while Iconioa tab will go on sale in Canada next month. The tablet comes with a 1024 x 600 16:10 touchscreen has comfortable design form factor and running on Android Honeycomb 3.2. The Acer Iconia A100 tablet was delayed to second half of this year even though it had been expected for last May.
The tablet is powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core 1GHz and features 7 inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution, 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and an LED flash, and a front-facing 2-megapixel camera for video calls, 1GB of RAM, a digital compass and accelerometer, along with 8GB of storage on A100-07u08u while 16GB of storage on A100-07u16u. It seems that Best Buy will be offering its own version of Iconia Tab 100 the A100-07u08w which is functionally identical to the general-spec 8GB version. There is also a microSD slot expandable up to 32GB.
For connectivity the device offers WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and MicroHDMI and other ports include MicroUSB 2.0 and a 3.5mm headphones jack together with a docking station port on the bottom. The camera of the Iconia Tab 100’s rear camera is capable of capturing 72p video at 30fps and will come preloaded with lash Player 10.3 and its own LumiRead ereader app. Other softwares include Social Jogger, Acer’s Facebook and Twitter integration and DLNA support (wrapped up in Acer’s clear.fi branding). Company claims five hours of battery life for the device.
The Acer Iconia Tab A100 tablet is priced at $329.99 for 8GB while the 16GB version is $349.99, in Canada the 16Gb version will cost $399.99.
