HP to stop webOS Smartphone and TouchPad TabletHas anyone of you got the webOS devices?, hopes not, HP hasn’t been so pleased with the performance of the devices powered by webOS, you know that HP released the HP TouchPad and other Smartphones with a bigger hope in the Smartphone and tablet battle field, but the devices haven’t got much attention in the crowd of Android and iOS devices. It finally lead the company to stop the support for webOS devices including TouchPad that was released very recently with big hope in the tablet market.

According to HP, the company hasn’t found any remarkable performance in the market with these devices, it means that they haven’t been able to catch up the market share of other competitors or to make its own business share with these devices. HP itself says “The devices have not met internal milestones and financial targets.”   After all, HP will continue to explore options to optimize the value of webOS software.

HP announced the its  financial results for its third fiscal quarter ended July 31, the company says that the company will more concentrate on  strategic priorities of cloud, solutions and software with an emphasis on enterprise, commercial and government markets. Anyway, we may see the OS in many other devices like  printers or entertainment/navigation systems, or get licensed to an interested party, but it is going to be a closed chapter for Smartphones and tablets. by the way, what do you think about the HP’s decision to stop the  production of their Smartphones and tablet.
