HTC Puccini reportedly to be released late September or early October
HTC hasn’t entered to 10 inch tablet war yet and you may have hear about the HTC Puccini that was leaked a few times, and now it seems that the devices announcement is getting closer even though not sure. The new rumor suggests a release date to be in September or early October. Anyway take it this with grain of salt. The report came via DigiTimes according to the Chinese-language Liberty Times quoted HTC’s CFO Winston Yung.
HTC has been performing well in markets in Asia with sales in China to increase four-fold this year, Yung said, adding that the number of sales outlets for HTC smartphones in China will increase to 2,000 by the end of the year compared to 650 currently.
There haven’t been much details about the tablets features other than some rumors and leak that suggest a possible AT&T‘s 4G LTE support for the device and a 10.1″ display like all the other Honeycomb tablets and a 1.5 Ghz dual-core Snapdragon S3 CPU, certainly we can expect HTC Sense UI on the top of Honeycomb. Early there was also report that the device passed the FCC.
