First Images of 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG spotted; debuts at Frankfurt Auto Show
First images of Mercedes-Benz 2012 SLK 55 AMG roadster is finally out . The 2012 SLK 55 AMG is waiting to debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show that will open in mid September. The images appeared on German car site Autobild. We had reported about the new features and the powerhouse that is expected to run the car ahead on the road.
When it comes the exterior, the car has new a new aero kit with bespoke parts up front and at the back along with a smoked out lights and larger set of light alloy wheels finished in black. inside there are a pair of sports seats and plenty of surfaces covered in stitched leather.
Other details include the new 5.5 liter BiTurbo V8 engine that will output 62HP to 422-horses while peak torque is up from 510 to 540Nm. It is more than earlier model with eight-cylinder unit. there are two models that include European version with 422-horses and 540Nm and 415-horses at 6,800 rpm and 398 lb-ft at 4,500 rpm for north America. With this engine the 2012 SLK55 AMG has a 0.44 kg/hp power to weight ratio.
