Confirming this, the company has reportedly sent emails to customers.
A few months ago there was an e-mail sent to consumers but later company said that it was sent by mistake. Anyway, according to the new mail, the upgrade to the LTE from current 3G tablet will be free and owners will have to send the device to Motorola to gett he device upgrade. You will only be eligible for the upgrade once you get an email with the upgrade directions. Within a couple of days after receiving the email you will also receive a package containing a step-by-step guide and a FedEx box with prepaid label for shipping your XOOM. One thing to note that once your tablet got upgraded, all the data would be removed so better to backup everything before you send your device.
