Nokia unveils Nokia 600, 700 and 701 with Symbian Belle; Specs, Price and expected Release
Nokia has announced three new Smartphones along with its new updated OS Symbian Belle, the Smartphones include Nokia 600, Nokia 700 and Nokia 701. The Nokia 600 is the cheapest of the trio and the loudest smartphone of the company while the Nokia 700 is the company’s most compact and eco-friendly and The Nokia 701 is inspired by the design of C7 and all are running on new Symbian Belle OS and features single-tap NFC pairing and sharing capabilities.The Nokia 600 powered by 1GHz processor features 3.2-inch capacitive TFT touchscreen with nHD resolution (360 x 640 pixels), 5 megapixel fixed-focus camera with LED flash and 720p video recording, 2GB internal storage and a microSD card slot with 2GB card pre-installed.When it comes to connectivity the device has penta-band 3G with HSPA (14Mbps HSDPA and 5.7Mbps HSUPA), quad-band GSM support, Bluetooth 3.0, NFC capabilities, Wi-Fi b/g, GPS with A-GPS, FM radio and transmitter with internal FM radio antenna and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Nokia 600 is expected to be released in Q3 and will be available in black, white, pink and lime colors and comes pre-installed with the NFC versions of Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja. The Nokia 600 is priced at Priced at 180 EurosThe Nokia 700 on the other hand is the Nokia’s “smallest smartphone in the world” and its compact chassis measures just 110 x 50.7 x 9.7mm, and it weighs 3.39oz (96 grams). The Smartphone packs a 3.2″ ClearBlack AMOLED display, 1GHz processor and 5MP fixed focus camera with flash, plus a front-facing cam, 2GB of memory, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth and FM radio. Other connectivity options include 3G support with HSPA, and Wi-Fi b/g. The Belle-running Nokia 700 is also expected in Q3 this year in Cool Grey, Silver/White, Coral Red, Peacock Blue and Purple and the device has been priced at Priced at 270 euros.Finally the Nokia 701 actually looks a lot like a more compact Nokia C7 at the front, and features a 3.5″ IPS-LCD display, with the ClearBlack technology, which Nokia claims is the brightest smartphone screen out there in terms of nits. Other features include a 1GHz processor, 8MP fixed focus cam with flash and 8GB of onboard memory.The device measures a 11 x 56.8 x 117.3mm with 4.62oz (131 grams) of weight. The battery is expected to offer 9 hours of talk time in 3G mode. For connectivity, the Smartphone has the same quad-band GSM and penta-band 3G support with HSPA, Bluetooth 3.0, NFC capabilities, Wi-Fi b/g, GPS with A-GPS, FM radio and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Nokia 701 is also running on Symbian Belle and expected to hit the Market in Q3 this year and will be available in Steel dark, Silver light, Amethyst violet, and White colors. Nokia 701 is priced at 290 euro.
When it comes to the most anticipated OS update for Symbian, the Symbian Belle, the UI as rumored is MeeGo-Harmattan UI and features 6 home screen on board. it also brings new features including widgets, improved customization options and built-in NFC support. The update also brings some business goodies like Lync, an IM client for businesses, Sharepoint, OneNote, Exchange ActiveSync and PowerPoint Broadcaster.Symbian Belle offers a more informative lock screen that displays missed calls, messages, and more. The new resizable widgets can be rearranged to create a fully customized set of home screens and there are also new “Toggle” widgets for tasks like switching on Bluetooth. When it comes to multitasking, the new Symbian Belle has improved and shows you live images of open apps.
