OTA Update for Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 TouchWiz UX Release Date August 5
Finally the rolling out of the most anticipated update for the world’s thinnest Android tablet, the Samsung Galaxy 10.1 will start on Friday, that is August 5th. The update will bring the most of TouchWiz user interface and other updates such as Adobe Flash Player 10.3 and a revamped Samsung Media Hub service.
When it comes to features that the TouchWiz UI offer, it includes Live Panel a “magazine-like widget view” for weather, social updates, email, photos etc all on the home screen, Mini Mode Tray – one touch access to commonly used apps, Indicator Quick Panel – for quick toggling of WiFi access, notifications, sound, brightness and other settings, as well as a photo editor. The update, Not only will it offer the first customized Android Honeycomb experience, but throws in quite a few other niceties that will enhance the total experience.
The tablet will also include full support for Exchange ActiveSync version 14, on-device encryption, Cisco VPN, Sybase MDM, and Cisco WebEx mobile conferencing. The Swype keyboard will also be added, along with mobile printing and Samsung Kies 2.0.
