Sprint to release BlackBerry Bold 9930 and Torch 9850; US cellular to sell Torch 9850 for price of $199 soon?
Sprint has officially announced that it will release the BlackBerry devices that were unveiled today, Sprint revealed that it will be offering the new BlackBerry Bold 9930 and the BlackBerry Torch 9850.The BlackBerry Bold 9930 is the CDMA version of BlackBerry Bold 9900.
The BlackBerry devices are not for any specific carrier so it will be widely available in the Market on different carriers, we already know that BlackBerry bold 9930 is also confirmed for Verizon and recently the company released an introductory video of the device. It is also expected that AT&T to launch the device for price of $299.99 after a $50 rebate and two-year contract on August 31st on its GSM network. The BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 is running on BlackBerry OS 7 and the OS is expected to be 40% faster than the previous version.
The BlackBerry Torch 9850 is the CDMA version of RIM’s all touchscreen handset. It will be the first all touchscreen ‘Berry offered by Sprint, and it offers the largest screen found on a ‘Berry at 3.7 inches. Yuo can read full specs of the device here . Meanwhile US cellular also confirmed to be on the race with BlackBerry Torch 9850. According to engadget, a trusted source revealed that Torch 9850 will soon go for $199 on contract (and after rebate) at US Cellular or $549 off contract. We could expect almost same price for Sprint and other version of BlackBerry devices.
