ViewSonic ViewPad 10Pro Windows 7 and Android Dual-Boot Tablet releases; Specs and Price
After the visit to FCC, the ViewPad 10Pro dual-boot Tablet has been announced by the Company and revealed price and release details. The tablet was first shown up at computex in Taiwan. What interesting here is that this is the tablet for those who want to taste the both Windows and Android features in single tablet.The tablet is 10.1″ inch in size and comes powered by 1.5GHz Atom Z670 chip-set, certainly it s basically an Windows 7 tablet and its chip-set itself reveals it, but it also has Android 2.3 Gingerbread mode and you can tap on the icon within the Windows 7 environment and you are ready to enjoy seamless entertainment in Android.
“We listened to our customers. We made the ViewPad 10pro dual OS interface as quick and intuitive as possible, while partnering with industry CPU leader Intel to deliver the latest in design and innovation across all fronts,” said Michael Holstein, vice president of business development, ViewSonic.
When it comes to other features, the tablet has built-in Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, an HDMI out for connectivity, a 1.3 megapixel built-in front camera and a high capacity battery for up to 8 hours of battery life. The table storage can be expanded up to 32GB via micorSD card slot.
The tablet is coming in two flavor, one with Windows 7 Pro with 32GB SSD hard drive for a price of $699 and other one with Windows 7 Hone Premium with a 16GB SSD hard drive for $599. Both have the Android 2.3 Gingerbread pre-installed and if you want a docking station accessory, you will pay an extra $59. VierwSonic ViewPad 10Pro will be widely available in late August, with a limited availability now.
