ASUS to release ASUS TOUGH rugged Tablet via KDDI in Japan; Specs revealed
ASUS has a new tablet on its lineup which has been unveiled at Korea and will be exclusive on KDDI, the new tablet is dubbed ASUS TOUGH ETBW11AA and will be running on Android 3.2 Honeycomb. It seems that the new tablet is only targeting at Japanese market at least for now. ASUS might bring the tablet to other market. ASUS has already introduced two honeycomb tablets in the market that include Eee Pad Transformer which is big hit and Eee Pad Slider which was released a few days ago
The new tablet sports a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor under the hood, a 7” 1280×800 display and Android’s Honeycomb 3.2 on board. The TOUGH is said to be both water and dust resistant while supporting 4G WiMax networks at the same time.
The new ASUS ToughETBW11AA is expected to be released in November but there are no details on pricing or particular date for availability of the device. You may also want to read about Fujitsu Arrows Z tablet with similar rugged features but comes with 10″ display and 4G LTE support.
