Anyone looking to buy a large room projector or any projector for that matter, should be advised to speak to people who have owned InFocus projectors in recent years.

My dad installs large venue projectors as part of his AV business and has had nothing but trouble with InFocus over the last few years, especially the IN5500 and IN5300 series. Their most reliable large venue projectors are the IN51xx series, but guess what?! That’s a Hitachi projector and you can get spares for them much faster from Hitachi, while it takes forever with inFocus.

I usually try to support American companies, but there’s very little that’s American about InFocus and their products only cause frustration.
