LG to release 23-inch E2391VR slimmest LED and D237IPS 3D Monitors; Specs revealed

LG to release 23-inch E2391VR slimmest LED and D2371PS 3D Monitors; Specs revealedIt was no surprise when we know slimmest monitors from LG, the company has already released pretty well-designed slim monitors in the market. At IFA 2011, the company has unveiled an addition to its and world’s slimmest monitors named LG E2391VR and D237IPS. The E2391VR measures only 7.2 mm thickness while  D237IPS boosts LG’s market-leading Film Pattern Retarder (FPR) 3D display technology on IPS panels. The E2391 VR is very sleek and attractive with its design and quite adjustable for better viewing angle.

Havis Kwon, President and CEO of LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company said that “These monitors aren’t just for work and internet browsing, they were designed to be the center of entertainment for any bedroom, study or dormitory,” he also added that “The E2391VR and D237IPS combine elegant design and unique technology to look great in any room and still be able to deliver exceptional images and videos.”

When it comes to the features, the LG E2391VR is a 23″ inch LED display with 192×1080 full HD resolution that features a narrow bezel measuring just 4.35mm, thanks to a contrast ratio of more than 10,000,000:1. LG claims that LG E2391VR is  highly energy efficient through SUPER Energy Saving technology. The monitor also features a 2ms response time, HDMI, D-sub, headphone out and all ports and most of the critical components are in the base of the monitor.

On the other hand the LG D237IPS is also a 23 inch monitor but comes with 3D technology combined with IPS panel. The LG D237IPS also boast “Flicker-Free” certification -– from European quality assurance agencies TÜV and Intertek. The monitor also makes surre side views without  color shift and high brightness to keep the 3D images realistic. the D237IPS also features an excellent 2D to 3D conversion function. The LG D237IPS 3D monitor also features D-Sub, DVI-D, HDMI and a headphone out ports and offers full HD resolution at 1920×1080.

LG hasn’t revealed anything regarding to its price and release date, but we hope the both LG E2391VR and D237IPS monitors will go on sale soon.

  • that’s really impressive. i heard on a video by chris pirillo that LED technology isn’t as good for graphic designers, since the LED will dynamically ‘fade/illuminate’ per an area on screen to ‘improve’ contrast. been looking for a model where the backlight stays consistently ON like the typical CCFL backlit LCD. well, whatever, this looks like a splendid model. zebraio.com
