Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 revealed with Specs ahead of IFA 2011
Finally Samsung has revealed its new and early leaked Android tablet dubbed Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, there are only a few hours to open the IFA 2011, so Samsung didn’t want to keep it secret until then. The new Galaxy Tab 7.7 is coming with 7.7″ superAMOLED Plus screen with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. Samsung seems to be preparing to find a way to attract people with devices featuring almost all size of displays, from normal smartphone display to the bigger 10.1 galaxy tab. The company has also unveiled another device called Samsung Galaxy Note that is another chunk device with 5.3″ display. Anyway I am not going through the features of the device here.
when it comes to the specs of Galaxy Tab 7.7, the device is powered by an overclocked version of the Exynos chipset- 1.4GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB RAM and Mali-400MP GPU, a 3MP autofocus camera with LED flash and 720p video recording, a 2MP fixed-focus front camera, 16GB storage and an IrDa port. it runs Android Honeycomb 3.2 spiced up with a TouchWiz UX flavor.
For connectivity the 7.7 Galaxy Tab has HSPA+ with 21Mbps downstream capacity. The tablet also features microSD to expand the memory. the Galaxy Tab 7.7 P6800 comes in 3 flavors of storage that include 16, 32 and 64 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 comes with a 5100mAh battery which Samsung promises will last some 10 hours. It’s only 7.8mm thick making it the thinnest tablet yet and has very little bezel around the screen. Currently there is no info regarding to its price and release, but hopes it will be revealed soon.
