ASUS Transformer 2 with Quad-Core to be known as Transformer Prime; Debut Date November 9

ASUS Transformer 2 with Quad-Core to be known as Transformer Prime; Debut Date November 9After the teaser video of the expected Transformer 2 tablet we have got real name for the tablet and the date on which the tablet is expected to be debuted first. Asus Chairman Johnny Shih with All Things D’s revealed the tablet and called the device the ASUS Transformer Prime. According to Shih, the tablet will be debuted officially on November 9th.

IOt has been confirmed that the tablet is coming with Kal-El Tegra 3 Processor under the hood and 10.1 inch display. Yet there was a report that the device would run on Android Honeycomb, but as we expected the Transformer Prime has been confirmed to be running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Of course the Kal-El is promised to be powerful and Transformer running on Honeycomb doesn’t make sense. The ASUS Transformer Prime is also thinnest tablet at 8.3mm thickness  and no transformer without detachable keyboard right!

Shih also revealed that goal is to launch the device in the first quarter of 2012. You know that the Ice Cream Sandwich was officially revealed yesterday, we can expect more device with the OS soon. There was a report that the tablet would be released on November 7th, the  date was listed by LambdaTek UK. It seems information from the top at Asus would suggest otherwise.
