ITG xpPhone 2 with Windows 8 expected to be released in January
The ITG is again ahead with its new intention to release a Windows 7 and 8 supported Smartphone, even though the first version of its xpPhone was big flop, this time company expect to get some devices to be sold and the device has got much improvements even though it still looks bulky. But surely there won’t be another Smartphone with these much power under the hood.
The xpPhone is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 chip and features 4.3-inch display , 2GB RAM and up to 112GB of SSD storage. This time the company has bumped up the battery life up to around 18 hours of call time or 46 days on standby. The device measures 140mm x 73mm x 17.5mm. The device weighs just about 400grams.
It is yet to be seen if anyone wants such a device instead of full fledged tablet with all the features when it comes to Windows 7 or Windows 8 touch friendly devices. Anyway, Windows 8 requires at least 1024 x 768 resolution. The ITG xpPhone 2 is expected to hit the shelves in January with Windows 8. Price of the device is still unknown.
